I love Autumn and Winter. Everything from the food to the clothes and makeup, there is something quite magical about this time of year. One of the things I like to change up is my lip colour – in fact, that is a lie, I tend to wear autumn shades all year around, but I do have top five lipsticks for autumn which I keep going back too and wanted to share them with you.
MAC Antique Velvet
I know this looks quite vampy and is definitely one for those of you who love a good bold lipstick. The reason I love Antique Velvet is how easily it can transform a look. I wear mainly minimal makeup so the addition of a bold lip brings the look all together and makes it look like you have put a lot more effort into your look than you actually did.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Exorcism.
This is a shade for my ladies who want to delve into berry shades. Exorcism is a nice berry shade with purple undertones to it. The pink hues in it make it easier to wear during the day. Often I will pair it up with colour pops Lumire two which turns it into a stunning mauve shade. The consistency is one of my favourite formulas and they come in a wide range of powerful shades.
Kat Von D Everlasting lipstick in Lolita Two mixed with NYX Lip Liner in Club Hopper.
If you haven’t guessed, I like to mix shades up from time to time and this is one of my favourite combinations. It allows me to add a bit of boldness to the lips while still being wearable for a day in the office.
Club Hopper is a deep brown, mixed with the orange tones of Lolita Two to give a light but bold brown looks to the lips. Do not get me wrong, this is still on the bold side but it is muted down, making it suitable to wear to meetings. I will often wear it to the office and no one takes offence to it.
NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm with NYX Club Hopper Lip Liner
Can you tell I adore this lip liner? When I want a more traditional brown shade I will apply Sandstorm on top. This is a true light brown shade and mixed with club hopper gives a more grey undertone to the lips. This is my go-to when I am wearing a grey outfit as I find it brings out the grey in my outfit quite well.
NYX Liquid Suede in Cherries in the Sky
This is a shade I have mentioned countless times but it is still my go-to red shade. It is the perfect medium between bright red and deep red. I feel like it running out which means I need to restock up on it soon but it is a shade I go back to continuously. For the most part, I have stepped away from the red shade, however when I do opt for a red lip chances are it is this one.
