Sometimes, we anticipate the weekend to such an extent when it does come around, it can be hard to live up to the expectation. If you are struggling for inspiration, here are three things you may want to consider.
Make up your home
Autumn is a great time to switch things up in the home. Grab some warm scented candles. Change up your bedding and if you feeling really fancy make a wreath to go on your front door. While I do not switch things up seasonally but when I am in a rut I find switching things up even if it just a few things around my room will make such a big difference.
Visit a Pumpkin Patch
I cannot say I am part of the pumpkin spice hype but I do like the look of pumpkins and autumn walks so why not combine them together. The closest one to me is about an hour way which is actually not as bad as I imagined it would be so this may be on the cards soon.
Go Thrift Store Shopping
There has been a lot of talk about sustainability recently – particularly in relation to fashion. I follow Venetia Falconer who does what she called OOTD (Old outfit of the day). If you know me, you know I wear my clothes out as much as I can. I have a small selection of clothing which I only replace when I need too. I do get the occasional urge to shop and one of the things I really want to do is visit West London and have a look around their local thrift stores and charity shops as I have heard you can get some great bargains. Its also more ethical than popping in to Primark which is what I would probably usually do.
Let me know what you end up doing this weekend. I am actually going to be heading to my home town – see some family. Whatever you end up doing I hope it is a good one.
