If you have watched my Youtube Videos this month, you will know I picked up some pieces from The Ordinary line. After testing them out for a couple months I thought I would share my thoughts on The Ordinary Skincare line and if it worth the hype.
The first thing I had to pick up with The Ordinary Hydralonic Acid 2% + B5. Aside from the foundation, this was the first thing I fell in love with. My skin lapped this up. It gives my skin the moisture it needs and makes it look healthy and plumped. It is a straight Hydralonic Acid so it feels slightly tacky once on the skin which is why you apply it before your serum and moisturiser but it really does work.
After this, the next thing I was keen to try was the High Spreadability Primer. The Ordinary has a range of primers, this one, in particular, is targeted for dehydrated skin as it is supposed to not contain silicone. I did like it and there is a little bit of grip to it which means your make up with last with this, however I was not a huge fan of the tackiness it first has on the skin and would like something a little bit more moisturising as a primer. If you have oily skin or something you want to assure with help makeup last on your skin, this is definitely one to try.
Rose Hip Oil is something I have had been keen to try for the longest time, however, it can be quite pricey and it is something my skin particularly needs but for £9.00 I couldn’t resist trying this version from The Ordinary. I have only had to use this a couple of times but I do enjoy it and it will be incredible during the summer when my skin needs a little bit more hydration and I need to even out the texture slightly. It is a straight up oil but it absorbs nicely into the skin and quickly. I have worn this in the morning and it settles into the skin in time for me to apply makeup.
Overall, I really enjoyed trying out the three products from The Ordinary and will be restocking up on a couple of them once they run out. You can find out a little bit more about my thoughts in this video where I go into them in a little more depth.
I also have my eye on their moisturisers. Have you tried anything from The Ordinary? If you have, let me know what you think I should try next.
