If you read my blog or watch my Youtube channel, my love for Urban Decay and their shadows will not come as a shock to you. They are excellent quality and the shade range is beyond most brands. There recent addition is their new Naked Smoky Palette.
The Naked Smoky Palette is an addition to their Naked Line and caters to those who prefer a smoky eye. I am a smoky eye novice so I find this palette interesting, it allows me to practice doing something new on the lids.
As with the others in the range, the palette comes with twelve shades starting with high a really simple basic shimmer shade to the more intense shades. My favourites have to be the gun metal silver shades. They look absolutely stunning.
Unlike the others in the range, there is more a mix of formulas in this palette. You get the shimmery soft buttery shades we all come to know and love from Urban Decay but it also includes three matte shades which for matte shadows (something which normally gets a mixed reaction) are very impressive and pigmented.
Ever since I made my swatch video I have been using this palette none stop. The shades high, dirty sweet and are perfect for an everyday neutral eye while the shades such as Smoulder could be used to amp a look up. Great for travelling and you want to take one palette that you can use during the day but also in the evening.
What really sets this palette apart is the beautiful packaging. With each palette they bring out, Urban Decay improve their packaging and this is no different. It has a magnetic closure which keeps firmly locked. I would not mind travelling with this as I know it will stay in tact.
As like the others the palette retails for £38 which can be seen as a lot to spend on eye shadow but you really do get your money worths. If you are a make up collector this will be one item you would want regardless of the price. If you are a make up novice this palette is great as this is basically the only palette you would need to help you create a eye look.
