Another steal from the Illamasqua sale this time in a form of a lipstick.
Illamasqua are known for their out there colours and long lasting matte lipsticks so when I saw this shade on sale I knew I had to give it a go.
They had a couple of shades on shades on sale and I decided on Illamasqua Growl. Growl is one of more well know shades from the Matte lipstick range. I’ve had my eye on it for a while and it is perfectly in tune with the lip colours I have been turing towards lately. It’s a very deep chocolate brown shade.
The formula is matte and highly opaque and pigmented. You do not need to apply layers and layers of this on for it give off that beautiful rich brown. Many people say that they find growl to be drying but it actually quite comfortable on my lips compared to some other formulas I have in my collection. (MAC Flat Out Fabulous I am looking at you)
It is not a shade for the faint hearted. It is quite bold and like all bold lips will get noticed. At the same time, I find it quite wearable. I am not sure if it would be appreciated in the office but I would have no problem wearing it during the day.
