Review | Essence Get Big Lashes Volmue Curl Mascara

8th January 2015 by naffy

If you read my what’s in my face posts you may have seen the Essence Get Big Lashes Volme Curl Mascara mascara* peaking through. I wanted to give it a good go before I told you about. It’s been a good couple of months so I think it is about time I have you my two cents on it.

The first thing to note is that the wand on this mascara is a change from the traditional wand. It is shaped in a curl. This helps when you apply it to create the curls you are looking for in your lashes. It can be quite tricky to use but it really does work. I can tell the difference in the curls of my lashes when I use this mascara.
I do have to say this is a slightly messy mascara to use. The formula is wet which means it is a bit more on the slippery side when you apply it. As the brush is quite big it can get on my lids. This could be due to the way I apply it but I will say it does blend in and disappear quite easily.

If you like curly defined lashes with a touch of vava voom this is one to look in too.

Essence Get Big Lashes Curl Mascara is in Wilkos for £2:30
Lots of love

I have never been able to find a masscara I like. Nothing seems to be able to give me bigger lashes. I am willing to try something new though!

I like the shape of the wand but I must admit that I prefer a comb mascara. If the mascara is too wet, leave the lid off for about 20 minutes to dry it up a bit. I always do that with new mascaras. My favourite mascara has to be the Bourjois 1 Seconde Volume, its amazing :)

I love essence as a brand but these sort of brushes never work for me as I prefer a plastic wand xx

I don't like wet formulas, but the brush seems nice! x
