Eyebrow Powder Pencil Review Nafisah Atcha make up review When it comes to brows, I find it very hard to find the right product on the highstreet – until recently. Thanks to brands such as Freedom and NYX blacks brows are finally being recognised. The latest one to hit Boots is the NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder Pencil.

I initially went on the hunt for the NYX Brow pomade, however this Brow Pencil intrigued me. Unlike traditional Brow Pencils, this very much looks like a eyeliner pencil with a spooley on the other end. The difference is, is that the colour of the pencil is made up of a brow powder.

When I purchased it, I was not sure what to expect. It is unlike any other brow product I have used, in that, it enables you to be very precise, especially in the arch and the tail of the brow where you focus on to create the shape which makes it more pleasant to get a defined brow.

The fact that it is a powder means it provides you with a more natural brow compared to a pomade which is slightly more bold on the face.

It has a nice soft texture which means it doesn’t tug on the lids and although it is a pencil,  if you happen to make a mistake you can clean it up without too much of a mess. Something I love as I can often be in a rush.

I will say the one thing some of you may find a problem with this pencil is that you may want a brow gel to keep it in place, however it has been quite hot here in the UK recently and I have not had a problem with this sweating down my face.

Compared to the other brow products I have come across – I can see the powder lasting me a long time. You would think it requires constant sharpening to do the job, however I have only needed to sharpen it once in the couple of weeks I have been playing around with it.

At £5.50, I am very glad to have come across the NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder Pencil. It is one of the brow products which will last a long time without running out or drying out quickly.

I’ve just bought a couple of Maybelline brow products to try, but next time I think I’ll try out this Nyx products. It sounds like the ideal thing for defining the brows on a busy morning!
