You know when you see something you have heard something in the flesh and almost screamed with excitement? That happened to me when I stumbled across the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in the shade Neutraliser.
If you’re reading this, thinking but Nafisah the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer has been a while for at least a year, I will say yes it has BUT only in the standard three concealer shades which just did not match my skin. I had spent years hearing American beauty journalists, bloggers and content creators talk in abundance about the Brightener and Neutraliser – both of which up until a month ago we could not get hold off in the UK.
So now begs the question… Was it worth the wait?
In a nutshell, yes. 100% yes. I am not the biggest concealer lover, however, I instantly fell for this the moment it touched the skin.
I applied it under my eyes and the formula was spot on. It is not thick but also not too fluid either allowing you to keep it under your eyes and blend it into the skin easily. I have used a brush and my fingers to do this and found it works well both ways.
One of the things I judge a concealer on is how it sits under the eyes. In recent years it is slightly dehydrated (something I am working on – more on this in another post) but because of the formula, there is a serum like texture to which means it actually feels hydrating under the lids.
You do have to be careful when you use it for the first time. You have to wind it up for a few seconds for the product to start flowing which means the first time the little fluffy top touches the skin there will be a slight overload of the product.
Speaking of the fluffy top (there is a technical term for you all) it was such a pleasure to use. It is the perfect way to apply concealer under the eyes. It helps apply the product with tugging at the skin which means you do not have to worry about premature wrinkles from using it.
The Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer has completely lived up to its holy grail status and will be a constant in my make up collection.
Who else has tried the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer? Let me know what you think.
