If you are a long time reader of the blog, you will know last August, I visited Coventry for the first ever Muslim Lifestyle Expo, the event was such a wonderful success, they have come back for a second year, this time in one of my favourite cities Manchester. As one of the official bloggers of this years Muslim Lifestyle Expo I wanted to give you Five Reasons why you need to visit the Muslim Lifestyle Expo and how you could be in with a chance to grab some free tickets!
Interesting, new fashion brands
The Muslim Lifestyle Expo, the first thing I noticed was the fashion brands I discovered. Modest fashion brands are hard to come by unless you know where too look. MLE2015 Introduced me to brands such as Aidah London, The Dressmaker London and more. Since discovering them I have fallen in love with their designs. Each of the fashion shows were creative, full of energy and more. I cannot wait to see what this years showcase has in store.
Aside from the fashion shows, the weekend is filled cooking demonstrations, comedy shows and nasheed performances. You can see the schedule here but variety is something you do not often see at a exhibition of this scale.
It is for all the family
I come from a big family and often it can be hard to find something to do which everyone would enjoy. The Muslim Lifestyle Expo honestly offers something for everyone. The fashionista’s the foodie, the mathematician, there is something for you all.
This year the food for the weekend will be supplied by MyLahore, which happens to be one of my favourite places to eat. I spoke about the restaurant here but rest assured you will not get hungry if you spend your entire day here.
One thing I missed out last year was taking a look at the seminars, I spent a lot of time on the main floor and as there a lot to see I missed some of the seminars I had my eye on so I will excited to see the list of seminars they have in store this year. Hopefully I will be able to make a few!
Meeting New People (Including me!)
One of the most rewarding things I gained from attending The Muslim Lifestyle Expo last year was the fact I was able to meet so many new and wonderful people, some of whom I am still in touch with today. I went on my own and for someone who is quite a introvert this was a little bit daunting but I had nothing to worry about. I got talking to people and soon enough I was put at ease. I also managed to get to meet some of my favourite inspirational people such as Islah, Ameena from Pearl Daisy and Nabilabee This year is set to be even bigger and better, there are some big names attending this years Muslim Lifestyle Expo which big names being revealed throughout the month and you will actually get a chance to meet them (and me if you wish! ) take pictures and just have a wonderful conversation with some of your favourite muslim bloggers, comedians and personalities.
If this sounds like fun then you are in luck! you can grab tickets via the Muslim Lifestyle Expo website and if you head over to my Twitter Page at around 5:30 I will be doing a special giveaway with 10 pairs of tickets for the Muslim Lifestyle Expo so you can come and hang out with me at what is going to be a wonderful weekend.
