As something who has normal but dehydrated skin, I am always on the hunt for a good hydrating cream so when I came across the Boots Botanical Hydrating Burst Hydrating Day lotion, I knew I had to give it a go.
The main thing which struck me about the lotion is the fact it contains SPF 15 which for autumn in the UK is a good start. (I still need to invest in a good SPF)
Boots claims it keeps the skin hydrated for up to eight hours which for a lotion is a bold claim. After testing it out for a few days, I have to say I agree. I apply this in the morning and found my skin is still moisturised when I come home in the evenings after work.
I have to say I tend to stay away from lotions, I prefer a moisturiser or gel. As this is lightweight I wasn’t sure how this would turn out. What I did find is that I needed to use a good amount of it to get decent coverage in order to hydrate the face.
Aside from the fact it has handy packaging, the hydrating burst lotion is perfect for this time of year when the seasons are turning. It absorbs quickly into the skin meaning you can wear it under makeup without it moving any other products you place on your face around and stops your skin from feeling uncomfortable and tight.
The Boots Botanicals line recently had a shakeup and the hydrating burst range comes with a night cream I am interested to try especially as we go into winter when I need something a little richer. It is currently on buy one get one half price so I have to pick more up from the range pretty soon.
Have you tried the Boots Botanics, Hydrating Burst Day Lotion?
