Hotel breakfast Breakfast Untitled design-6 This weekend, I packed up my suitcase and headed to Daventry to spend some time with my blogging ladies. We visited the Hellidon Lakes Golf and Spa Hotel which is in the heart of Daventry.

Hellidon Lakes Golf and Spa Hotels sits in the most beautiful village surrounded by narrow roads and farms, making it the perfect weekend getaway if you are looking for somewhere to just relax and unwind.

When I first reached the hotel, I was impressed with the decor and the surroundings. I would describe it as a resort hotel as it is a place people travel to to play Golf, however you can do so much during your stay at the Hellidon Lakes Golf and Spa Hotel. While we were there, we had opportunities to see the spa areas and the hotel is home to their own bowling ally so there is something for everyone.

From the moment we got there, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We signed it without any worries and by the time check in came around, they had already taken our luggage to our room which no other hotel has done for me previously so I felt extremely special.

The rooms were spacious. I was sharing with Anastasia and we had a twin room. I always take a look at the tea and coffee collection because if you know me, you will know, there is something special about ending my day of exploring with a cup of tea. The hotel provided more than enough to last me throughout my stay which is not always the case.

We had a twin room so it had two beds which were hands down a dream. I was tired by the time the end of the day came around and I have to say I slept like a baby and did not want to get out of bed in the morning.

Because of the location the hotel is surrounded by the most beautiful views. We had lunch in this bright room full of windows and it looked down to the most gracious view. My room was no different.

You want comfort when you stay at the hotel and if you are in too baths, the bath room includes a bath tub with a shower head so you can choose which one you prefer. I am mainly a shower person but I am partial to a bath and if I had one more night, I would have taken full advantage of this.

Along the lines of comfort is food. If you are vegetarian, vegan, diary free or have an halal diet, it can be hard to find places to cater to those needs. As the hotel is in such a remote location, I was not sure what to expect, however I was pleasantly surprised. I requested vegetarian (I eat halal meat but stick to veggies when away from home) and I am also sensitive to dairy. I was a bit worried the hotel would find it a struggle to cater to this but they didn’t. The food was delicious and even their lunch and breakfast buffets catered to everyone needs.

Overall I was extremely happy with my stay at the Hellidon Lakes Golf and Spa Hotel. If you are looking for a quick getaway either with your mother for mothers day or a family group weekend away this is a good remote hotel.
