Three ways to have fun on a budget | Life

At home cinema It is getting to that time of year where people are looking at their purse strings and worrying about their finances. There are a lot of social events going on and the need to buy presents is high. I am a firm believer in the fact you do not need to spend a lot of money to have fun. Here are some ways in which you can still have fun on a budget.

Host a bring your own dish dinner party

I love nothing more than meeting up with friends and having a good old natter over some food. I personally tend to do this on a one to one basis BUT if you are someone who does this regularly with a small group of friends why not change the location up slightly. Why not host your friends at your house. You can each create a small dish each. Not only is this cheaper than purchasing a meal at a restaurant you can also spend as long as you like just chatting having a good time without feeling you out stayed your welcome at the restaurant.

Create an at home cinema

I love a good film night. You can get the girls around, connect your Netflix account to your TV, make some popcorn from scratch, get out the cosy blankets and you have the perfect home cinema.

Clothes swapping party

We all get the shopping bug. Often for me, it is usually comes from the need to spice up my wardrobe. I know I am not the only one. Why not see if any of your friends are feeling the same and looking to do a bit of a clear out. If they are get together and see what items you can mix and match. Kind of like having a sister and sharing each others wardrobe. Not only is this is a sustainable way to do fashion, you also get a fresh outfit from it.

How do yo have fun when you are on a little bit of a budget? let me know in the comments.
