The things social media doesn’t show you | Life

IMG_2356 So I realised that as much as I love to tweet about my love for Love Island or dismay at certain world events, I tend to be quite private which is fine but I do also enjoy sharing bits of my life with you which is why I thought I would open up and share with you the things social media doesn’t show you about me.

I love films
I don’t just mean watching the films. I get fully invested in the filmography the context of the script, the actors. I always end up thinking about how long it took to shoot. When I watched the new Avengers film I was in awe with the amount of people involved in making something so wonderfully creative which touches so many people around the world. I really hope to be a part of something like this in the future.

I am a little bit of an introvert
I describe myself as an extroverted introvert. I love people and interacting with them but I also need time to myself so I can reenergise and centre myself the same way an introvert does.

Every bedroom I have had thus far includes a bookcase – it’s mandatory
You all know I love books and no bedroom of mine is complete without a bookshelf.

I have a degree and a diploma
I don’t really talk about my education much but I do actually have a degree in sociology. After I graduated I decided to do a diploma in multimedia journalism which I absolutely loved and something of a personal nap achievement for me.

I suffered two major operations in the first years of being born.
I spoke about this in a video briefly but I was born with a coagtatuon of the heart which I needed an operation for followed by a nisanfudliplicstion. I cannot remember the operations in question but I grew up with hospital appointments and check ups – something which I should be doing even now.

My grandfather is my hero
He literally moved to a country which he knew nothing about so he could make w better life for my grandmother and his children which had a knock on effect to the following generations of our family. Travelling wasn’t easy then and he didn’t come from a rich family to be able to do this with ease. I cannot imagine the struggles he faced. He passed away when I was young and I always wish I could tell him how amazing I think he is.

I love martial arts
I spent nine years doing martial arts and my love for it has not gone. It is something I want to keep up and get back into.

I could go on and on because really social media is a highlight reel and in my case a very small one at that.

I want to get to know you more. Tweet me one fact I wouldn’t know from looking at your social media profile
