In London, everyone seems to layer up. I noticed I have gone out without my coat a lot more than I would normally, which is why I have been drawn to a new autumn edition my wardrobe, the long cardigan. They seem to be having a moment in the fashion world at the moment and I wanted it.
I found this pink number for £12 in Primark and fell in love with it the moment I tried it on. I am a bit picky when it comes to cardigans, I like them to be loose but also I need them to not too shabby so I would wear it to work and this was the perfect fit.
When it comes to styling a long cardigan, I like to wear them with black pants and a loose top. The cardigan smartens the up the look but also ensure it is not too smart but you can also wear it with a nice pair of jeans and some killer heels for a nice weekend vibe.
Primark has a range of these in a variety of colours and I desperately need it in the grey shade. I found it can be a great way to incorporate colour into an outfit for someone like me who has a predominantly monochrome wardrobe, made of predominately black, white and grey. There are some nice striped ones in the market. Primark actually has a nice grey one with yellow on the ends for a nice pop of colour.
I am still trying to figure out how layer well but I think this is a pretty good start. It is the perfect item to help me keep warm in the wind but cool enough when I stuck on the overheating central line.
Are you on the long cardigan hype? Is it something you will be adding to your wardrobe this autumn?
