I never thought I would actually say this but summer is here in the UK and apparently it is not going anywhere which is why I thought it was time to do a bit of a summer skincare reshuffle and all on a budget.
A firm favourite which I have spoken about before is the Solait Face Fluid factor 50. As someone who has an olive skin tone I need a strong SPF on the face which is why I love this little bottle. It is easy to apply, absorbs quickly and sits well under my make up. I have been meaning to pick up the body version of this so this blogpost is serving as a reminder to add it to my shopping list.
Speaking of the body, I won’t lie, up until recently I didn’t focus too much on body SPF or sunscreen. I stay fairly covered so it wasn’t something I was worried about. However in an attempt to change this I have been testing the Garnier Ambre Solaire Water Clear Sun Cream and I have to say it is very easy to use. I was amazed at how easy to use.
As the name suggests it is a water based formula so there is no sticky business in the mornings before you get ready for the day. It is a spray and you do have to shake it up a little bit to get the full force of the spray and make sure it works.
Unlike traditional SPF’s for the body it is very lightweight and absorbs instantly on the skin. I apply this straight from the shower and it dried almost instantly.
It has a nice holiday scent to it which I adore as it reminds me of being on a beach somewhere which perks me up a little bit when I am getting ready for a day in the office.
It is also worth remembering we need to top up on the SPF during the day especially when you are wearing swimwear and shorts and this makes it really easy to top up on the go. So if you go the gym during the day or chilling by the pool the Garnier Ambre Solaire Water Clear Sun Cream makes it really to reapply during the day.
How are you coping in the sun? Have you cracked out the SPF.
