How are we in the last week of April? 2017 is going fast. As always, I thought I would share with you my go to make up face including pieces from Laura Gellar and Too Faced.
Keeping my base the same for most of the month, I am getting a bit bored and started to try something new (more on this next month) but for the majority of the month, I went for this combination of foundation and concealer.
To add some bronze to the skin, I went in using the Collection Blush and Glow palette as I found it works well with my skin. I love the way it picks my skin up and adds a healthy look to it.
I then went in on those cheeks using the NARS Paloma bronzer which is the most amazing contour shade. It is not too dull on my skin tone and blends like a dream which is refreshing.
As you may have noticed I skipped the blush as I have not been feeling it for a while recently so went straight for the glow with the Zoeva Nude Spectrum palette. The sun beam shade is my go too in place of blush. It adds a nice glow to the skin without being overpowering as some blushes can be.
I still wanted some more glow so I went in with the stunning Baked Gelato Illuminating Swirl Palette by Laura Gellar. My favourite shade is Gilded Honey is a stunning Gold Shade. I have a full review here but it is buttery soft, blends like a dream and is perfect for this time of year. I have loved playing around with this during April as I had some fun special occasions where I wanted my highlight to show but not be too over powering.
Then for the eyes, I changed up the colours up from day to day depending on how I was feeling but I mainly stuck to the Too Faced Chocolate Palette. I hadn’t used this in the longest time I actually forgot how amazing it smelt. Today I went in with gold eyes and used the shade Salted Caramel for a over the eyes matte shade then applied the shade Creme Brûlée to it which is a gold shimmer shade. To define the lids, I applied the shade Hazelnut underneath it which is a deeper brown shade to the edges to create a defined eye.
I finished the eyes with the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara which reminds me of Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara as the brush is quite similar and gives the lashes a similar effect.
Once the eyes were done, I went in to the lips and again this month, I have broken my rule to sticking to one lips and actually played around a little. (I am a make up junkie after all) one that I have worn a few times is a combination of my Barry M Lip Liner in the shade 11 and the NYX Liquid Suede in the shade Brooklyn Thorn. I love the combination because it is a nude shade but does not wash me out and still feels bold enough for me to work.
The standouts from this month has to be the Laura Gellar and Too Faced Palette, with the lip look allowed me to create a go to face this month.
