If there was a collection which I had heard a lot about but hadn’t gotten my hands it was the first collaboration between Revolution and the lovely Sophie so when she announced her second collaboration, including the Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Palette, I knew I had to get involved and was not disappointed.
The Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Palette contains 18 shadows perfect for the warmer months. There is a little bit of everything in there from oranges to yellows and an incredibly stunning red shade which even I can enjoy.
One of the reasons I love the palette is how versatile it is. There are the usual neutral shades, along with some deeper and bright ones to mix it up a little bit. The mix of mattes and shimmers in the palette also means you do not have to worry about having to use different palettes to create looks.
Both formulations are pigmented and very easy to blend on the lids. There are other shadows out there which are a little softer and buttery to touch, however for the price and for the amount of shadows you get, you really cannot go wrong.
The moment I started playing around with the shades I was hooked. So much so I travelled up north to attend some weddings and I took this palette with me. I wore all sort of different outfits yet managed to create eye looks using just this palette. The shadows stayed intact all evening (yes even in this heatwave we are experiencing at the moment) and was easy to take off at the end of the day.
Another bonus about the palette is the packaging. If you are heading on holiday or visiting some family for a weekend, the mirror which comes with the palette is an absolute dream. The packaging itself is sturdy so you do not have to worry about it getting broken while you are handling your luggage. (Something I always worry about.
I know I do not have any swatches in this post but I test out the palette in this video if you fancy seeing my thoughts in video form.
I have had this palette for a few weeks now and have worn it pretty exclusively ever since however the beauty of such a versatile palette is that the fun is only just starting and I have a lot more looks to explore with the Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Palette.
