For the base, I opted for NARS Sheer Glow foundation because to me it is the ultimate summer foundation. It gives you good coverage while letting your skin breathe. It really does give your
I then applied a little bit of my Maybelline Fit me concealer to brighten things up a little bit under my eyes. I blended it in slight with my Real Techniques setting brush.
I was happy with my skin so I kept away from over bronzing my face and decided to contour with the NARS Paloma to add just a little bit of dimension to the face.
Then on the eyes, I broke out the Urban Decay AfterDark Palette. I have fallen head over heels for this palette. The first shade I went in was the deep brown shade. This gives the eyes a little bit of depth.
To brighten the lids up a little bit, I went in with the gold shade and blended it in together using the Crown brush. I wasn’t happy with this so I took things further and added the shade in the centre of the lids to brighten things up a little bit more.
And to finish the look off, I thought I would finish off the look with a swish of the Max Factor False Lash Effects Volume Mascara.
Before the lips, I wanted to tackle the brows so I decided to the NYX Cosmetics Brow Pencil in the shade 05 Black. I did a full review on this but in short, I do like it as a drugstore brow product and works well to help create and shape your brows easily without much mess.
Then it was time to get that highlight poppin’ as my sister would say. When it comes to special occasions, there is only one highlighter out there for me. The Illamasqua Illuminating powder in the shade Epic is the most incredible gold shade for olive skin tones.
To finish the entire look I went to the lips. Normally, I would turn to pink lips, especially with the outfit I had but today I opted for something different. I lined my lips with MAC’s lip liner in the shade Whirl and then applied the Kat Von D lipstick in the shade Bone & Arrow. It was the first time I tried this shade and I adored it. It is a nineties brown with a hint of grey undertone to it. I really liked this lip combo and it really made the look and added a nice daytime feel to the look.
Summer wedding make up can go either two ways – either glam or classic with a fresh twist and I thank this look encapsulates a happy bit of both.
