It has been a while since I raided the stands in Boots and Superdrug. On a recent visit I came across the Loreal and was amazed at the amount of new products they have released. I knew instantly I had to pick up some of the products from the new in Loreal make upline.
Loreal Colour Corrector Palette
This is the first colour correcting palette I own so I am a bit of a noob when it comes to colour correcting, however, I have to say I really like the consistency of this palette. It is not overly creamy, blends in to the skin well and you have to work in the product which is a good thing as it means you will not over do it when it and end up with a green nose.
Loreal Lip Paint | Matte
The next thing that instantly drew my attention was the Loreal Lip Paints. These are loreals alternatives to a liquid lipstick. They come in two versions a lacquer and a matte. I adore matte formulas and picked up the shade 205 Apocalypse Red which is a traditional deep apple red shade. The first thing I noticed was that the lip paints have a distinct scent to them which reminds of a body shop lip balm I use to use all the time. The formula is more of a velvet matte/ satin finish. Which means if you are someone who doesn’t like dry matte formulas, this is one to try. It does mean the lasting power is not as good as a traditional liquid lipstick, however I don’t think it would bother me too much in this instance.
Loreal Colour Riche Matte Addiction
I told you I am a matte lipstick fiend. I am a huge fan of the Loreal Pure Red Matte Range and they recently added to the lipstick colour with an entire new matte addiction line. I could have chosen 3 shades but in the end I went for the shade 463 Plum Tuxedo. In the tube this looks a lot more purple than it comes across when you apply it on the lips, however it is buidable and you can work up too the intensity and colour you would like without it irritating the These lipsticks do work best with a lip liner however they dry to a matte finish and the lasting power is great in comparison to other lipsticks of a similar price point.
Loreal Infallible Foundation Blender
Another new release is the foundation blender. This is currently free in Superdrug when you purchase three Loreal Products. I have yet to try this but it is similar to the Real Techniques blender as it is a straight edge. I will be giving this a good go and let you know what I think.
And there you have it, these are the new in products from Loreal I picked up. They also have a new foundation and blush palette which I need to give a good try.
Have you come across any of the new in loreal products? let me know what you think.
