Make up Monday |The Loreal Face

IMG_8343 IMG_8395 IMG_8410 It has been a while since I have done a one brand spotlight so for this weeks Make up Monday I thought I would share with you the Loreal Face.

For the face, when it comes to foundations Loreal is one of the best for the drugstore foundations. The shade range is good and the texture and formula of the Loreal Lumi Magique foundation. I ran out of it for this look, however you can see me apply it here as it would have made an appearance if I had some left.

I recently purchased their new Sculpt Contour Palette in the shade Light to Medium and have to say on first impressions I am enjoying it. I applied this to the contours of my cheeks, my nose and under my chin using their new sculpt brush which added to the experience. The cream contour blended perfectly in to the skin without needing to much work while adding some depth and definition to the cheeks.

Then it was time for the eyes. Loreal have some great formulas when it comes to their single eye shadows. Their Mono eye shadow collection is intensely pigmented, long lasting and you can build on them to create a stunning eye look. I used the shade Gold Mania which is a beautiful true gold shade. I found this is perfect for special occasions when you want the Gold to pop out as you can layer glitter on top or add it on top of a matte shade for depth.

I also tried the Loreal False Lash Effect Sculpt Mascara for the first time. I need to test it out more but I did like the way it applied to the lashes and it was easy to remove from the lids. I will have a more in-depth review on the blog soon so keep an eye out for that.

For the final touches of the look I applied some lipstick. I lined my lips using the Kiko Creamy Colour lip liner in a red shade as a base for my lipstick. My lipstick of choice was the Loreal Paris Blake Lively Pure Red Colour Riche Lipstick. I have spoken to you about it before but it is my favourite lipstick from Loreal, it is a beautiful blue tone red with a velvet matte finish and is extremely long lasting which is a must for me when it comes to a bold red lip.

And that is the over all look, it turned in to a glam look which I personally would wear during the day and can transition in to the evening on a busy day when I do not have time to redo my make up.

Do you have some staples I need to try from Loreal? Let me know!

You did a great job with the look! I’ve never gravitated towards L’Oreal as I find they are a bit pricier for the drugstore, but they’ve been coming out with some great foundations lately. Your post reminded me to check out more of their stuff especially the Reds lipstick line & the mono eyeshadows!
