Picking the right foundation shade for your skin tone and type can be tricky. If you are new to foundations, it can seem very daunting. Here are some things to I consider when picking the correct foundation.
Have a skin consultation
Skin Consultations determine what type of skin you have. This may seem a strange thing to do however if you are unsure what skin type you have this would be a good thing to do before buying a foundation.
Test it out
Even if you need to buy a foundation that day make sure you get the make up assistant to test it on your skin. This does two things – helps you find your skin tone and two figure out how the foundation feels on the skin. Does it feel too heavy? Is it light?
Grab A Sample
I always pick up a sample of the foundation I am thinking of purchasing before I actually take the plunge. Let us be real most foundations are pricey and you don’t want to have to fork out some extra money because it did not turn out how you expected it too.
Discover our undertone
Most people are either a yellow undertone or a pink undertone. Most Asian Girls have a dull and yellow undertone in their skin while those with paler undertones tend to steer to more pink undertones. Test both on your face and see which is best suited to your skin.
Those are a few of my foolproof ways to find the foundation to suit your skin tone.
