The first thing which struck me about the palette was that it literally gave me the feels were the warm auburn, burnt red tones radiating from the palette. A year ago I would have stayed away from those types of shades but I’ve been gravitating towards a more sun kissed orange this summer and the warm obsessions palette ticked all the boxes.
There are nine shades in the palette 8 of which are matte. It is incredibly pigmented and blends beautifully especially for a matte shadow which can be hard work on the lids. There is no chalky residue or fall out which some matte shades come with too.
I have mainly been playing around with the middle column from the Warm palette. Using the lighter matte tan shade all over lids then worked the bottom brown in the creases. Then because your girl cannot do anything without a bit of shimmer I literally use my finger to apply the only glitter foil shade in the palette. When I say foil, I honestly mean it. It glides on easily on the lids and instantly transforms the lids when you apply it. It is by far my favourite shade from the palette – I have to actually stop myself from wearing it to work regularly.
The other reason I love this palette is because it is perfect to travel with. Along with the warm tones in the palette you have a couple of pink and purple shades which means to switch things up when you are on the go if you feel like it.
At £25 it is a good entry point if you are looking to try out the brand as I know her larger palettes are slightly more on the expensive side.
Have you tried any of the obsession palettes? I have my eye on the Mauve one next!
