One of my favourite things in the world to do is to have brunch. It is one of, if not, my favourite meal of the day. London is filled with beautiful brunch spots and last weekend, I took a trip to Hackey and Lele’s London. I had heard a lot about the all vegan cafe so I was excited to finally my way down there.
The first thing I noticed was how lovely the staff were. Having never eaten at Lele’s before, my friend and I took a while to decide on what we wanted to chomp down on, which normally would anger staff. Instead, they were very patient and helpful while we made our choices.
I ended up having the avocado on toast with some mushroom and I have to say it is delicious. Yes, the dishes all look Instagram worthy but aside from that, the one I had was worth every penny.
Aside from the standard avo on toast, they also had vegan smoke carrot and cream cheese bagel, croissants, sausage rolls and some delicious cakes. I had my eye on a fudge brownie but decided to make it an excuse to go back. Part of their menu is online but they have more when you get there.
Location wise, I have to say the cafe is a lot smaller than I expected. Lele’s is a well known vegan spot so I was expecting it to be a big cafe but that just added to the charm of the place. If you are planning to go on a Sunday, I would go as early as possible.
It is filled with lots of plants which really added to the charm of the place. If you go when it is not too busy it really is a nice zen place to grab a bit to eat and chat with a friend after a long week.
Would I go back? Yes, I would. I have a couple of friends who live in the area and I think I am going to be suggesting this quite a lot whenever we make plans to catch up.
Have you eaten at Lele’s before? Let me know what you thought.
