I won’t lie, it has been a while since I have been excited about skincare but A collection of which comes from the amazing skincare queen Alex Steinherr, who to put into context, in my eyes, is up wth Caroline Hirrons as someone who knows their skincare. She collaborated with Primark to give us the Alex Steinherr Skincare collection which is affordable but does not skimp on good quality ingredients.
The line includes a masks and cleansers but I primarily focused on the hydrating products in particular the moisturisers and serums.
I picked up the Moisture-Locking Everyday Moisturiser. It is the perfect anecdote to winter for dry and dehydrated skin. It includes Squalane, Peptides, Amaranth Oil and Black Cumin Oil. The Squalane helps against sun damage while the Amaranth and Black Cumin Oils which help the ageing process along with tackling skincare conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
At first, I was a little bit worried. It is a little bit on the heavy side which I am not usually a fan off. But, it absorbs very quickly and is not uncomfortable. If you prefer something which is a bit lighter but your skin longs for something a little more on the richer side, this is a good option. A little bit really does go a very long way. I literally use the smallest amount and it covers my entire face.
I especially appreciate this particularly on my make up free days. When it is cold outside and the cold wind is going to touch my bare skin drying it out.
The next thing I picked up was the Hydration on the go which has a more serum like consistency. This is something I would personally use as ah hydration booster, after the shower, in the afternoon when I coming back in from the cold but I am not ready to settle down and do my evening skincare routine. This is something I call as a skincare add on. It is not an essential in your morning or evening routine but is there as a top up to help enhance the work you put into those routines.
As it is sold in Primark the prices are swoon worthy – the moisturiser costs £5 while the hydrator is £4. Alex really put her all into the range and it shows. All the products are made with good quality ingredients which benefit the skin and the range is vegan friendly and fragrance free. It is constantly sold out so much so I was very lucky to find these two pieces. Looking at the full range, there is much more I want to get my hands on especially the Pollution Solution mask and the plump and go moisturiser.
Have you managed to get your hands on Alex Steinherr’s skincare collection?
