Productive Morning Routine Productive Morning Routine Growing up, I never thought I would say this but I am officially a morning person. I love waking up early and getting on with my day but I will admit, there are days when I can struggle, especially during the colder months which is why I created some steps to help me have a productive morning routine.

Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier

Do you wake up and take a few minutes to actually move from your bed. Maybe you check your phone and end up scrolling the next 10 minutes away. I am guilty of this so to ensure I am not running late, I set my alarm 15 minutes earlier than I would plan too. This just means I do not waste time and allows me to start my day.

Plan your schedule on a Sunday

If I have events or things to do during the week, putting them in my Google calendar helps reduce any anxiety I have about the week.

Make a To Do List

You can do this either in the morning or the night before. Personally, I like to do this the evening before as it means I am ready and rearing to go when I wake up. I know what I need to do before I head to work or even when I am at work.

Make time to have breakfast and prepare for the day

I cannot rush the start of my day. When I do it makes me feel all flustered which can spill into the rest of the day. Give yourself enough time to sit down and have breakfast. I am not saying you need a full English every day but allowing yourself to sit down and eat something before you begin your day sets you in the right mood for the day.

These are tips I use to have a productive day and week as a little anxious person and I found so far it has made an incredible difference to me.

    They are some great tips for making it easier to get up on a morning I’m definitely going to try out some of these especially as the mornings are becoming colder!!????

    I also start my days early, especially at the weeksends. Going out to take pictures of the sunrise, enjoy a walk in an empty wood… But it will beharder during the dark season. Setting the alarm earlier to have a few minutes to wake up does not work for me.

    You can also use Motion Clock! I use it because it actually makes you shake your phone for a set amount of seconds before it goes off. Really keeps me from sleeping in!
