I cannot believe it has now been a whole month since I made the big move to London. You would think it would wear off but I still catch myself having pinch me moments. It took me a few years to make the move though which is why I thought I would share with you five things I love about London for those of you who are thinking about doing the same.
The Markets
London is full of markets. I cannot wait to make my way through them all. My current favourite has to be Spitalfield markets. I have yet to see them all so this may change. The next one on my list to visit one day is going to be Greenwich Markets.
Easy to get around
I am lucky enough to already be familiar with the tube and how it works and I have to say thanks to the tube, City Mapper and Google Maps it is really easy to get around such a big city.
Something happens everything day
No two days are the same. There is always an event you can go to after work or somewhere to meet a friend for breakfast before you go to work. One day the tube will be completely quiet but the next day it will chockablock crazy.
Brunch
Hallelujah, I am in the city of brunch. If you did not know brunch is my absolute go to favourite meal of the day and London is full of fantastic places to try. I will definitely be eating brunch until my heart is content while in this beautiful city. Bring on the Avocado and Toast and Shakshuka.
Everything stays open
Coming from a town where everything closes by 5:30 it really excites me to see things open until 9-10pm on a regular basis. Gone are the days where I do not have the time to visit the shop on the way home from work. Westfield fills my evening shopping needs as does wholefoods. Even my local newsagents is open past 07.00pm.
As you can see London is a wonderful place full of excitement, buzz and a sense of community and togetherness. It has truly captured my heart and I cannot wait to see what else it has in store for me.
