Five Tech Pieces that will change your life

Camera equipment Something that goes hand in hand with blogging is developing an interest and love for all things tech. From memory cards to chargers to more complex things like lenses. It took me a while to figure out what works and where to invest (and where to save) so I thought I would share with you Five Tech pieces that will change your life.

Memory Cards
If you know me, you will know I am constantly loosing my memory cards (It happens at least once a month) I also have slight OCD and I take pictures of everything so having different memory cards helps me keep things focussed slightly. TIP – Buy the memory cards on Amazon. I use these ones and have been incredibly happy with the quality of them.

Remote Control
When I invested in my DSLR, the first accessory I bought was a remote control and it was a complete life changer. My thumbnails were easier to photograph, I was able to be more creative with my pictures. A remote control allows you to film and take pictures without worrying about having someone to take the picture for you. Especially if you are a blogger, you have a vision for a certain picture and this helps keep in place.

A spare battery
I cannot explain to you how much of a lifesaver it has been to have a spare battery for my Cannon 700d lying around. I will admit, this spare one came with the camera so it was not something I bought separately but if your camera does not come with one, pick one up. It is the worse feeling in the world when you are ready to use your camera to find the red light flashing back at you. (I came across this seller if you are interested)

A Tripod
Investing in a tripod is something that I struggled back and forth with. up until the beginning of the year I was dealing with make shift DIY tripods which did the job (albeit not perfect) however I found this Hama Tripod and have been thankful for it ever since. It means the camera sits a lot more steady and just makes things a lot more sharper which I helps a lot.

The Hard Drive
After gathering a load of pictures and video clips I do not want to get rid off I figured it was time for me to invest in to a hard drive. They can be quite pricey so I shopped around and came across this gem from Toshiba. When it comes to Hard drives I would highly recommend you go with a technology brand you can trust so you know it will definitely do the job. I have had this one for a long time now and have absolutely no regrets.

Technology can seem like a far away land and a little bit complicated. I have been there, my advice is to take your time, do not buy the first thing you see, if you’re a blogger, ask other bloggers their opinions on things, speak to someone who may know more than you about the item you want to buy. For example my uncle is the one when it comes to technology, I always go to him for his opinions which is what I did when I bought my hard drive. When it came to my tripod, I spoke to blogging friends who helped out a lot too.

I hope this post helped you. Let me know what your go to tech pieces are.

PS- There is an Instagram giveaway happening on my page if you are interested.
