Five Make Up Brushes Every Girl Needs | Review

Zoeva Rose Gold collection Bobbi Brown foundation brush When I first got in to make up, I knew nothing about make up brushes. It was a little bit overwhelming, there was a lot to choose from. After a lot of trial and error, I finally managed to hand pick five makeup brushes every girl needs.

Zoeva, Luxe Face Focus Brush

This is my favourite brush not for the face but for highlight. It is the right shape and size for my small round cheeks. I also love the amount of product it deposits on the cheeks. It really helps me to get the glow going.

Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease Brush

This is hands down the first eye shadow brush I wholeheartedly fell in love in. Before this cease brush came into my life, I have other eye brushes in my collection which I adore but this was is a cut above the rest. If you like the MAC 217, you need to try this. It is soft on the lids and blends shadow like a dream.

Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush

Now one of the things which put me off using blush was that I was very heavy handed. One thing which helped me with that was the Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush to help give my cheeks a nice hint of colour on the cheeks. It is angled which means you can be precise and blend it on the cheeks accurately. It is also not as dense which means you can build up the colour which is great if you are heavy handed like me.

Loreal Dual Ended Brush

When I purchased it, the main reason was that it was three for two and I was curious to see how good it would be. I won’t lie, I was a little bit sceptical about how this brush would perform but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I will admit I usually use the angled side as it is perfect to contour my cheeks with as it helps to carve out the cheeks bone. I do sometimes blend in the contour with another brush if I want a really subtle contour. However, for the most part, I use this brush to blend as it gives a subtle but sharp definition to the face.

Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush

I discovered the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush thanks to, Lily Pebbles. It is the most expensive brush in my collection but it is also one of the most well loved and used brushes in my collection so I have no regrets with the purchase. This is dense which allows you to apply your base nice and evenly on the face. It doesn’t soak up all the product and it blends like a dream. I have used this for a range of foundations from light to medium coverage and I am always happy with the results it gives.

There are many brushes out there and it can be very overwhelming (I still get overwhelmed) The truth is, you only need a few core brushes in your collection and I truly do think these are five makeup brushes every girl needs which is proof that make up tools do not have to cost the earth.
