As we settle in to the new year I feel like now is the time where we can make or break or resolution which is why I wanted to share my go books when I am in need of some extra motivation. Here are five books to motivate you in 2017.
Becoming by Laura Jane Williams
I have already professed my love about this book but 2016 for me started off in the wrong mind set and this was one of the first books I read in 2016 which gave me the courage to make some life changes which have ultimately led me in to a better place ready to tackle 2017. If you are struggle in whatever capacity and cannot see a way out, Laura’s story will give you belief no matter what you are going through, you can make your way back. She has a new book coming out in 2017 and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
Reading Big Magic was like talking to a friend about creativity and all that comes with it. I do not have many friends who share my interest in writing or blogging and it can often feel lonely and leave you feeling no one understands the creative ruts or highs you can get. This books explains all the feelings, the good and the ugly of the creative process. It reinforced my belief that I am doing what I am suppose to be doing.
#GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso
Have you noticed a theme in these books? They all focussed on strong women in the industry. Girl bosses for lack of a better word which is why I had to include this book written by the ultimate Girl Boss. Building a business and later a personal brand is not easy but Sophia has done this and has been phenomenally successful. #Girlboss is a rags to riches story which on days when I feel like giving up which help give me the belief I can go on.
Anxiety for Beginners by Eleanor Morgan
I have had this book since August and have yet to read it. I have no idea why because it definitely a book I need to read. I had herd such great things about this book and how Eleanor Morgan tackles Anxiety. I know this will be incredible useful on days when I feel like Anxiety is taking over.
The Honest Life By Jessica Alba
I originally read the honest life back in 2013 and yet I find myself going back to this. If you are looking to live a more ‘ethical life’ or just make more conscious life decisions in your means like me, this book has some useful information and tips that you can genuinely incorporate in to your life without difficulty.
Each of these books hold a special place in my heart and I hope they bring value to you and motivate you in 2017.
