Something you may not know about me is that I love a good documentary. I love history and science, combine this with a thirst to learn, I honestly could not get enough of them. Netflix has a beautiful catalogue of every genre of documentary possible, if you’re unsure of where to start, I have you covered.
The Story Of Diana
After the Royal Wedding, there have been an influx of Royal documentaries on Netflix. This has to be the most captivating look in to the life of Princess Diana. I remember watching her funeral in primary school and it is something which has stuck with me right up to now. I was too young to take in her amazing presence at the time but I have grown up listening to stories of what a remarkable woman she was. Of corse I knew her story but there is something quite powerful of seeing it play out in such a documentary.
Having studied sociology, I am very interested in society and the groups which make up our worlds. Being South Asian, I am also interested in learning about different cultures from around the world as well as learning about the history of my own culture which is why I am interested in watching unusual cultures.
The Defiant One
Something you may not know about me is that I grew up listening to R&B and Hip Hop. The Defiant One follows Dr Dre and Jimmy Lovine who were pioneers in this genre of music. We find out how they grew up, how their lives crossed and how they pioneered this genre of music.
There are a tonnes of others for you to filter through – including some big ones to do with true crime and mysteries, which I have to admit, I am not the biggest fan off.
