I love discovering new places to visit when i go to London and on my recent trip my friend Yasmin recommended I paid a visit to Dark Sugars on Brick Lane. Apparently, it was the place for chocolate and boy was she right.
From the moment I entered Dark Sugars I was greeted with the smell of chocolate. Dark Sugars is a artisan chocolate store based in the hart of Brick Lane. Filled with delicious and unusual chocolate combinations there is something for everyone.
They sell everything from truffles, chocolate covered fruits to more intricate chocolate filled with spices. Whether you like milk, white or dark chocolate there is something for everyone.
To go alongside the chocolate, they also have the most indulgent hot drinks. From coffees to Hazelnut Hot Chocolate. While I was there I had a Vegan Pitch Black which is essentially melted dark chocolate with foam from soya milk on top along with shavings of dark chocolate. Yes it was delicious as it sounds and was the perfect edition to a winters day.
I visited Dark Sugars Twice and on my visit I picked up some of the Vegan options they sold. My favourites were the chocolate covered medjool dates and the truffles.
It is the perfect place to buy chocolate if you are lactose intolerant, plant based or just want something special.
The atmosphere around Dark Sugars also made the experience. While I was there the staff were all helpful, busy, to go along with, they had the most upbeat music playing and got people to sing along while they were waiting in line.
If you are around the Brick Lane and love chocolate I would highly recommend you pay Dark Sugars. They make great gifts and special treats for yourself and loved ones.
