When Tanya Burr announced she was including highlighters in her new Chasing the Sun collection, I knew I had to get my hands on at least one of them. Tanya always looks incredibly healthy and sun kissed so I knew I was in for a treat and it did not disappoint.
Champagne Sorbet is this stunning champagne gold illuminating shade which works well if you have an olive tone to your skin.
I fell in love with the Illuminating Powder, the moment I first swatched it. There was something incredibly soft about it. The formula is spot on – it is everything I have wanted in an highlighter. When you apply it to the cheeks, there is no blunt shimmer or glitter, instead what you get is this nice glistening almost wet look to the cheeks.
If you someone who has late nights and early mornings, this really does the trick to make sure you look healthy and glowing. In fact, the second day I wore this, was after a late night and I was tired when I was asked how I was looking so glowy and healthy I was really taken a back – until I remembered I was wearing Champagne Sorbet, so it really does make a difference on the face.
Because of the flawless formula, this is a highlighter that will take you from day to night. It is subtle to wear to work but Bham wham thank you, ma’am, to rock in the evenings for a meal or event.
It is very hard to find a good highlighter in the drugstore. The one I have found and enjoyed have always had something missing but I have to say as someone who collects highlighters like they are sweets, Tanya Burr has really impressed me with her illuminating powder. I honestly cannot fault it. It is hands down one of my favourite highlighters – including a couple of my high-end highlighters.
Have you tried anything from the Tanya Burr chasing the sun collection? If you have let me know what I should try next.
